Community Benefit Funds for this Wind Farm are split and distributed on the following basis:
Girvan & District 70%
Kirkoswald, Maidens & Turnberry 10%
Dailly 10%
Colmonell & Lendalfoot 3.5%
Barr 3.5%
Pinwherry & Pinmore 3%
The Community Benefit Agreement requires funds to be used for any charitable, educational, environmental or other appropriate community-related purposes within the respective Community Council areas.
The Community Benefit Agreement requires that funds MUST NOT be used for a variety of reasons, including, for example:
- To promote the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs or firearms
- To support political parties, associations or candidates
- For the support of anti-windfarm or anti-renewable energy activities
- To replace statutory funding or
- To support individuals for their personal gain
Approximately £15,000 per year is available to the Dailly Community.
Applications for funding should be sent to Dailly Community Council, that manages their portion of the Fund. At present, the Community Council is considering applications up to £5,000.
Please note that any application form should be supported by costings and quotes/ estimates, and can only be considered in advance of spend.
Retrospective applications will not be considered.
Successful applicants will be expected to acknowledge their grant and indicate that Tralorg Benefit Fund has supported them.
Successful applicants will be given a year to complete their project and spend the funding, and will be required to complete an evaluation report.
