The newsletter includes details of the first **Ayrshire Voices for Nature** gathering taking place in **Maybole** **on** **21st March**. With a theme of 'communities and conservation', this World Café-style event will employ facilitated round-table discussion to explore the state of nature and local conservation in all its forms! They're aiming for a mix of citizens, agencies, and community groups and everyone is welcome. *This is a free event with lunch included*. All their upcoming **Who Goes There!? Encouraging local communities to act collaboratively to build thriving sustainable societies in harmony with their natural surroundings.’ ## **Galloway and Southern Ayrshire was the first UNESCO Biosphere in Scotland** The region’s designation was awarded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation in 2012, recognising the fact that this is a world class environment for people and nature.
