The next round of Crown Estate Scotland’s Community Capacity grants programme will launch on Thursday 5th August.
Crown Estate Scotland invests in property, natural resources and people to generate lasting value for Scotland.
The Fund comprises two grant programmes, an Environment Grants Programme for tenants on the Scottish Crown Estate and the Community Capacity Grants Programme. Foundation Scotland are administering the Community Capacity Grants Programme (see below), more information on the Environment Grants Programme can be found on the Crown Estates Scotland website.
The purpose of the Community Capacity Grants Programme is to provide early stage financial support for community enterprise projects that contribute to local regeneration and sustainable development and, ultimately, help create great places to live, work and visit. In recognition of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) being held in Glasgow in 2021, all applications are required to demonstrate how net zero considerations will be incorporated into their project.
Awards of between £20,000 to £50,000 for a one-year period will be made through this Programme. The fund is open to all communities that are situated in the following areas:
• up to 5 miles from coastal and estuarine foreshore in Scotland; or
• up to 5 miles from the Scottish Crown Estate’s four rural estates (Glenlivet, Fochabers, Whitehills and Applegirth)
Please find a link to the programme’s funding page on our website – Crown Estate Scotland | Foundation Scotland. This page will be updated on the launch date and you will be able to find a link to the expression of interest form, frequently asked questions and overall eligibility criteria. For ease of reference, I have attached a programme fact sheet to this email.

South Ayrshire’s Parenting Promise is a plan written for those who are care experienced and details what you can expect of us as your Corporate Parents. As Corporate Parents, under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, it is our role to make sure that our attention and resources are focused on upholding the rights, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of South Ayrshire’s ‘looked after children’ and ‘care leavers’.
It is important to us that South Ayrshire’s Parenting Promise shows how committed we are in South Ayrshire to working together to #KeepThePromise to all the children and families that we work with and for.
We have brought together different corporate parents from across South Ayrshire to write the plan. They were also joined by some of our Champions Board representatives who have used their lived experience of care to help us understand what’s working well in South Ayrshire and what we need to change.
What we need from you
We want to make sure we are getting things right and we think it is really important to give people the opportunity to tell us what they think of South Ayrshire’s Parenting Promise. We have created a short survey that asks about specific areas of the Parenting Promise and also gives you the opportunity to highlight anything that you think is missing, responses will be anonymous and will be shared with the Parenting Promise team to inform the final version of the plan.
We have produced 3 documents to make it easier for you to give feedback:
Once you have read the documents, click here to access the survey.
