Update to residents of Dailly, particularly Eldinton Terrace / Hazelwood Avenue regarding Craiginmoddie Windfarm
Energiekontor – the windfarm developer – has presented documentation to the Scottish Government / energy consents unit in Edinburgh for the proposed windfarm, 14 turbines to a tip height of 200 metres with associated infrastructure and battery storage.
Residents should be aware that a new track will have to be made (vol 2 fig 3.1 a-d & vol 2 fig 3.1) opposite nbr 1 Eldinton Terrace. This track 5 metres wide will head towards the Craig Lane, peel left and eventually hit the Barr Road above Lindsayston, and onto the actual site above Delamford. This track will be for abnormal loads. HGVs with hardcore will also travel through the village/Eldinton Terrace.
Please note where the turbines will be located (looking up towards Dobbingstone / Delamford), 12 of 14 turbines will be visible, and possibly 3 from the potential ‘Carrick’ windfarm (photomontage viewpoint 3 – Dailly).
These turbines – 11 out of 14 – will also be visible at night as they must have red lights for aviation, due to their height.
Since the turbines are at the head of the valley, the noise will come directly down the valley. You will probably hear them a lot more than the existing Hadyard hill turbines.
